Services

Linda McGee, M.A., provides therapeutic services to help individuals and couples achieve more joyful lives and healthier relationships.

I offer a safe and non-judgmental environment where we can discuss difficult and often painful issues:

  • anxiety
  • communication
  • depression
  • divorce
  • grief and loss
  • life transitions
  • physical illness
  • relationship issues
  • relocation
  • retirement
  • self-esteem
  • stress management
  • sexual issues
  • stress management
  • trauma

I work with each individual or couple in a collaborative and supportive manner to help you find new ways of coping with life’s challenges. If you are facing a difficult situation, talking to a caring and attuned professional can provide healing and hope.

Linda has a real gift for this work. She made me feel completely comfortable talking about some difficult personal challenges. She is warm and kind, but also pushed me when I needed it. I am grateful.

Hope Starts Here

It is never too late to heal from past traumas and build a happier life. Some of the challenges it has been my privilege to help clients with are:

  • Couples often seek counseling in times of terrible despair, sometimes certain that their relationship is already over. I offer a safe environment to tackle the hard issues. I will help you find new ways of interacting with each other as you discern your future path. Whether you are going through a difficult time (including retirement or relocation), or simply looking for new skills to strengthen your relationship, I offer hope that a more joyful partnership is possible for you.

  • Grief & Loss are an inevitable part of life, but you don’t have to struggle alone. If you are feeling overwhelmed or unable to handle the pain, talking to a compassionate and trusted counselor can help you to find relief and write a new script for your life after loss. While counseling cannot return to you the loved one you’ve lost, together we can find ways to honor their memory by helping you process the loss and re-discover joy in the here and now.

  • Health Problems eventually impact everyone. Whether you are struggling with chronic illness or pain, or providing care to a loved one facing those challenges, it takes a toll. If you find yourself feeling angry, anxious, hopeless, exhausted, or emotionally numb, it might be time to reach out for some support. It is my job to help you discover better ways to take care of you and healthy ways of coping with the stresses of physical illness or caregiving.

  • Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) impacts 30% of women and 12% of men. Common difficulties experienced by survivors include operating in constant ‘crisis mode,’ having problems with intimacy, struggling with self-image, re-experiencing the trauma, or feeling angry, depressed, ashamed, or afraid. If you or a loved one are carrying the burden of any form of childhood abuse, trauma, or neglect, you should know that healing is absolutely possible.
